NICILT, the Northern Ireland Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research, was established in 1995 as part of the CILT network and offers a range of services to teachers and learners of modern languages. It is located at the School of Education in Queen’s University Belfast and receives its core funding from the Department of Education Northern Ireland. NICILT supports all sectors and stages of education in Northern Ireland and provides information on programmes, funding and resources, research on language teaching and learning, a resource centre, CPD for teachers as well as events for pupils of modern languages..
