The University of London Institute in Paris is a small institution located in the heart of the French capital where students can enjoy a study abroad experience but in a UK university. Students have the opportunity to learn inside and outside the classroom, preparing them for their journey ahead building on the strengths of both a UK degree and international experience.

If you think your students might be interested in this life-changing opportunity, please do let them know that they are warmly invited to come to our Taster Courses taking place on Tuesday 2nd July in London. They will have the chance to try out ULIP classes for themselves. In addition to our long-established BA French Studies programmes, we will also be offering a taster course for our new BA International Politics programmes.

French Studies: L’Empire colonial et ses vestiges parisiens
This French colonial history taster course will be taught in French and is suitable for students at AS/A-Level or equivalent. Students will be encouraged to think about the political, sociological and cultural legacies of Empire evident in Paris today.

International Politics: Is there a difference between real and fake human rights? Who decides?
This International Politics taster course will be taught in English and will explore the politicised debate over how real human rights (e.g. freedom from torture) can be distinguished from fake ones (e.g. a right to the internet).

Students are welcome to register for both taster courses. ULIP staff and student ambassadors will also be available to answer any questions about living and studying in Paris over coffee and cakes.  Please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you would like to find out more about ULIP, or to organise a group visit if you are coming to Paris. We may also be able to send a representative to your school careers fair, so if you think our institution may be of interest to your students, please drop us a line at [email protected]
