PHOrum
We look forward to seeing you at the next live PHOrum meeting via Zoom on Thursday 6th June 4.00-5.30pm.
There will be two more great presentations which you will not want to miss:
Angela Smith – Poetry in the Primary Languages Classroom
A recent OU course inspired Angela to think about how poetry could both enhance pupils’ experience in the languages classroom and cover some of the objectives of the National Curriculum’s Primary Programme of Study. Full of practical ideas to use across KS2, Angela will show how poetry can bring language-learning to life for young learners.
Marie Allen – Empowering primary language educators to support EAL learners
Join Marie as she explores breaking down silos in schools to better support students using English as an additional language. Discover how collaboration between MFL and EAL teachers can maximise support for multilingual learners, shedding light on shared strategies and approaches.
In addition, Steven Fawkes will present his round-up of news and updates from the world of Primary Languages.
The PHOrum meetings are free to ALL members. All the presentations are recorded and stored in the Primary CPD library via the ALL website, however, please attend the live event and support the presenters, if you can. Book here: www.tinyurl.com/phorum0624
We are now planning the PHOrum programme for 2024-25. If you would like to share good primary practice on any theme, we would love to hear from you. Please put forward your proposal here: www.tinyurl.com/phoproposal
