As part of Volunteers’ Week: The Big Celebration on 01-12 June 2016, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has developed a Volunteers’ Week Resource Pack. Volunteers’ Week is a great way to launch recruitment of mentors and the pack includes lots of advice, from running events celebrating volunteers to recruitment (including guidance for young people for schools using student mentors). It also offers tips on how to generate interest in volunteering and how to highlight the benefits.
