On 18 December 2014, the Minister for School Reform announced the publication of new A level content in Ancient Languages, Modern Foreign Languages, Geography, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. The content for these A levels was recommended by the A level content advisory board (ALCAB), drawing on advice from subject experts, universities and subject associations.

The following documents have now been published on gov.uk:
- The new AS and A level content for Ancient Languages, Modern Foreign Languages, Geography, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. All of these subjects will be introduced for first teaching in September 2016 apart from maths and further maths which will be introduced in September 2017 following advice from Ofqual and ALCAB.
