Council of Europe’s Language Policy News provides information about recent developments and upcoming events, including the relevant registration links.
2022 events include a second series of monthly Online Workshops and an international conference on 24-25 May. The workshops take place on the first Thursday of each month (apart from July and August). The Online workshops tend to “sell out” within 48 hours of the call for registration being sent out – but they are repeated a week or two later in case of sufficient additional demand.

Common European Framework of Reference
Following the publication of the CEFR Companion Volume, the Council of Europe’s Education Department organised monthly Webinars in 2021 to help language professionals familiarise themselves with the key concepts of the CEFR and consider ways for integrating those into teaching and learning practices. Key concepts covered were action-oriented approach, digital agency in social practice and language education, plurilingualism in the classroom and engaging learners’ plurilingual and pluricultural competence, as well as mediation in relation to sign languages. The PowerPoints, video recordings, Classroom materials and Background readings from these workshops are now being made available online at www.coe.int/lang-cefr.
