The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute is holding a competition with the support of the British Council as a part of the Russia-UK Year of Language and Literature 2016.
The competition will be conducted online, in English, from 05 Oct – 15 Dec 2016, on the Pushkin Online platform. Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Moscow, Russia, will direct the competition activities under the aegis of the Ministry for Education and Science and with the support of British Council. School students from all over the UK will have an opportunity to participate. Three winners of the competition will be awarded with the certificates for 1-week Russian language courses at Pushkin Institute Summer School in summer 2017, which will also include city tours. The competition participants will be asked to answer questions centred on Russian literature, including the works of celebrated Russian poets and connections between Russian and world literature.
Competition Stages
- Registration at the Education in Russian portal: between 05 October 2016 (10:00 Moscow time) and 18 November 2016 (18:00 Moscow time)
- Submissions will be accepted between 05 October and 19 November 2016
- Announcement of results and award ceremony: 14-15 December 2016
